The Gift of Life Foundation is a non-profit organization designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable and tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service and is further treated by the IRS as a supporting foundation to Gift of Life Michigan.

The Gift of Life Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees, each elected to a six-year term. In
addition, officers (president, president-elect, past president, secretary, and treasurer) are elected to
two-year terms, and past presidents also serve on the board.
